Samsung Electronics Secures Global TV Leadership for Two Decades, Holding 29.1% Market Share
Samsung Electronics has officially marked 20 consecutive years as the world’s No. 1 TV brand, a feat that underscores its unwavering dominance in the visual display industry since 2006. According to the latest data from market research firm Omdia, Samsung commanded 29.1% of the global TV market in 2025, with an even more staggering performance in the premium segment. The company captured 54.3% of the market for TVs priced over $2,500, driven by the high demand for its Neo QLED and OLED lineups.
“Our 20-year leadership is built on a foundation of engineering excellence and consumer trust,” said SW Yong, President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. This achievement highlights Samsung's ability to stay ahead of market shifts—from the transition to LED in 2009 to the current era of 8K and Micro LED technologies. By consistently outperforming competitors in the $1,500+ premium category, Samsung remains the benchmark for next-generation display performance and reliability.
