Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) Records 750% Surge in Computing Student Enrollment; Bridging the Regional Tech Talent Gap
Dr. Hoda Mokhtar, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences at Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), has announced a period of exponential growth for the institution. Speaking at a press conference, Dr. Mokhtar highlighted that student enrollment has skyrocketed from just 47 students in 2021 to 353 in 2025, reflecting a surging demand for advanced specializations such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity. This growth is a testament to EUI’s role as a primary academic pillar for the nation’s digital economy.
The academic expansion extends to EUI’s human capital, with the faculty growing from 7 to 30 professors and teaching assistants expanding from a single member to 32. Dr. Mokhtar emphasized that the faculty’s strategy is built on three core pillars: education, scientific research, and industry collaboration. By aligning its curriculum with global innovation trends, EUI is equipping a new generation of professionals capable of meeting the complex needs of local and international technology sectors.
